Our business needed some new systems (new PC’s, dual screen monitors etc.) and I had got to know Dave via a local networking group. Better IT provided a very competitive quotation which involved leasing the systems and having them replaced after a period of 3 years, something which we really liked the idea of to keep everything up-to-date and utilise the most current technology. Dave was not only speedy with the proposal and the lease paperwork, but he and his team also managed the entire process. Better IT put a great deal of time and care into ensuring a smooth transfer of data by arranging to visit the company a few days prior to the switch over to copy over data and log-in information from our current computers, they did so without any disruption and always worked round our team. They came at the end of business on a Monday and stayed late to complete the installation and changeover in its entirety, even adding a new switch and cabling to boot. The old computers were removed and disposed of in a GDPR-compliant manner, which removed the need for us to find a suitable company or facility to take them away. The whole process went without a hitch and when staff came in on Tuesday morning the systems were ready to use and contained all of the information they needed to continue business as usual. No hassle, no stress, no costly downtime for anyone. Whilst we haven’t had any work like this done before I know from speaking to acquaintances in other businesses that this isn’t always the norm with other IT providers. The switch over of any company’s equipment, and the copying of necessary data, seldom goes without a hitch and there is often at least a small degree of downtime for key staff. We were impressed by Better IT on a number of levels: their competitiveness, their helpfulness, their efficiency and the fact that ultimately delivered more than we expected – and delivered it seamlessly. I’d certainly be happy to recommend them to anyone else who needs to add to or upgrade their existing systems – or even to manage IT service needs on an on-going basis. Andrew Robinson at CoLaw
